About
The choir was established in 2024 with the idea to create a community around folklore and celebrating cultural diversity.
The choir welcomes all kinds of members despite their background regarding music and singing. Following the folk tradition, all material is taught by ear, therefore beaing able to read sheet music is not necessary. As the choir consists of a mix of nationalities, the common language of the rehearsals are English.
During a season we aim to have a diverse repertoire from various cultures the choir leader have collected and arranged, and songs shared by the members of the choir from their all cultural heritage is much appreciated, too.
The choir is led by Dorottya Máté.

Concerts & Collaboration
At least once every season the choir sings a public concert. We have sang in a variety of venues earlier, such as turkis, Institut for (X), UngK and Marienlyst Park Festival.
While we really enjoy performing acapella, we also love to collaborate in various forms. We have previously perfomed in collaboration with the celtic harp player Lucie Hendry and the Percussion Ensemble of RIGÓ. Stay tuned as we cannot wait to announce some new exciting collaborations soon.
Do you dream of collborating with us? Let us know your idea via mail.
